Total Separation Solutions Completes First Phase of Major Clear Completions Fluid Densification Project

July 31, 2009 Port Fourchon, LA - Total Separation Solutions (TSS) evaporated excess water from 88,000 gallons of diluted bromide-based clear completions fluid utilizing Shockwave Power™ Technology under exclusive license from Hydro Dynamics. TSS ran continuously for 14 days to clear contaminants so that the fluid could be re-used at the well site. Clear completion fluids are very dense, heavy
weight, clear fluids used primarily in the Gulf of Mexico to complete wells. The weight of the fluid can be up to 20 pounds per gallon and can hold back the pressure in the oil and gas producing formation. Total Separation Solution's patented densification process economically and reliably removes contaminants, permitting the recycling of these clear completion fluids.
