Down-hole Air Diverter

Use of the Downhole Air Diverter improves drilling performance and reduces hole erosion in certain applications. Diverting a portion of the air (pneumatic fluid) rather than forcing it back through the drill collar, bit, and up the drill collar annulus, improves flow while using air as the primary cuttings removal medium. When strategically placed in the drill string, the Downhole Air Converter reduces friction pressures and uses the energy to improve lift. Reducing annular friction pressure increases the pressure drop across the hammer tool, increasing its efficiency.
